This Sunday's destiation is Durham Forest,
with Cathy MacDougall. We have our destination worked out for the
last weekend of June. The trip is on Saturday June 26,
and it is to Pretty River, led by
Andrea Moses.

Five hardy hikers showed up at
Yonge and York Mills.
We decided to hike. We hiked, and it did not rain!
We have a destination and a leader for next Sunday. It is
Durham Forest,
and our hike leader is Cathy MacDougall.

Saturday's hike to
Hoggs and Eugenia Falls,
is tentatively canceled due to the predicted thunderstorms. A couple
of us will show up at Yonge and York Mills
just in case the weather improves. At this time, we strongly
recommend not driving straight up to the hike.

Once again, the weather worked out for the brave souls who showed up
for the Cheltonham hike. Next week, we hike on Saturday, all the
way up to Hoggs and Eugenia Falls,
with leader Alan Backlund.

Cheltenham Badlands
with hike leader Bob Freeman. Let's hope the weather holds out.

We have worked out our city hike for this coming Sunday.
We are hiking in the
Don Valley,
and checking out a few
Doors Open
locations, with leader Andria Hourwich.

For the coming Victoria Day weekend, we are hiking on Monday.
The destination is Hockley Valley,
with Jim Thomas. This will be on the south side of the valley, so read
the driving instructions carefully.

This Saturday is the biking, hiking
Spring Party
at the Sports Café.
On Sunday, we are hiking to
Dundas Valley
with Jennifer Rowbotham, and, finally, with predicted sunshine.

This coming Sunday is Mother's Day, so we are hiking on Saturday.
Our last two hikes have been on days predicted to be rainy, and so
far, we have not been rained on. Let's see if Bill Baird can keep
this up at
Royal Botannical Gardens.

at the Sports Cafe at Yonge and Saint Clair.

In spite of the nasty weather forecasts last week, we had a bunch of
hikers out for Kilgorie Pine River. There was not a drop of rain.
This week, we are hiking at Speyside
with Ian Tytler. The weather reports are not promising, so bring
something waterproof. These things work out.

We are getting ready for
High Park Ski Club's
Fun In The Summer Night.
The event will be held at the Lithuanian Hall, at 1573 Bloor
Street West, on Thursday night, April 15. We will be there
along with a whole bunch of other clubs, so sign up members and hand
out schedules.

Our 2009 season is over. Thank you everyone who showed up to hike.
Thank you to our hike leaders, and thank you to Ron Kwan, our outgoing
president. We will see you next next April. We will be signing
up new members at
High Park Ski Club's

going to Crawford Lake, and our leader

This coming Sunday, you can sleep in half and hour. We plan to leave
Yonge and York Mills
at 10:30 am, to head for
Rouge Valley
in east Scarborough, not a very long trip.

This Sunday's hike (September 20) now is to
Alton with webmaster Howard Gibson.
This time, the weather should be good. Next Sunday, we are going
to Rouge Valley, with Andria Hourwich. This is not a picnic hike,
so we do not need to hang around the parking lot. We should see
some new stuff this time.

This website has a new look! The navigation has been improved a bit,
and, hopefully, it looks a little better. Also, we have started
our Fall Schedule. Our first hike will
be on Sunday September 13.

Jennifer Rowbotham has volunteered to lead a hike to
Webster's Falls.
That, probably, will conclude our hiking season until the fall.
