We are hiking the Beagle Club Trails. It appears to be run by the County of Northumberland.

Directions

From our meeting point at Yonge and York Mills.

  1. From Yonge Street, go east on Highway 401.
  2. Follow ON Highway 401 Baltimore Rd Constable Chris Garrett Memorial Bridge in Cobourg, Exit 474A.
  3. Take the exit, and go north east on Baltimore Road, crossing the bridge. The road becomes Route 45 somewhere around Creighton Heights.
  4. At around 15 kilometres from Highway 401, turn left onto Beagle Club Road.
  5. In 750 metres turn left. Our destination will be on the left.

Remarks

This is a loop trail near Alnwick/Haldimand. The beautiful thick forest makes you feel as if you're hiking in northern Ontario.

This is a fairly new hike, so we don't know the local establishments. Baltimore John's is located on our way back to Highway 401. The address is 4620 45, Cobourg, ON K9A 4J9. Let's try that.
